Moalem Weitemeyer has assisted KKR & Co. Inc. and Bettcher Industries in the acquisition of Frontmatec from Nordic private equity company Axcel. Moalem Weitemeyer advised alongside international counsel Kirkland & Ellis and Nordea Corporate & Investment Banking.

Bettcher Industries is a leading manufacturer of protein processing equipment and was acquired by KKR in December 2021. The transaction is an important step in Bettcher Industry’s strategy to build a scaled food processing automation platform serving food processing plants globally.

Frontmatec is global manufacturer of end-to-end automated solutions for pork and beef processing. Frontmatec was acquired by Axcel in 2016.
