Moalem Weitemeyer advises DNB Bank in the acquisition of Carnegie

Moalem Weitemeyer advised Norwegian DNB Bank in the SEK 12 billion acquisition of Carnegie.

Moalem Weitemeyer has advised on Danish law aspects of DNB’s acquisition of Carnegie Investment Bank for approximately SEK 12 billion from private equity firm Altor Equity Partners and other minority shareholders.

Through the acquisition, DNB and Carnegie Investment Bank are realizing their joint ambition to become a leading Nordic player in investment banking, securities brokerage and analysis, corporate banking, private banking, and asset management. 

The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2025, subject to customary approvals and conditions.

We would like to express our appreciation to DNB and Mannheimer Swartling acting as global counsel to DNB for entrusting us with the assignment of advising on Danish law aspects of this transaction.
