Moalem Weitemeyer advised New Enterprise Associates (NEA) in connection with its lead role in the EUR 90 million Series A financing round for Orbis Medicines.

Orbis Medicines is transforming oral drug development with its innovative nGen platform, which creates a new class of drug candidates, called nCycles, specifically designed for oral administration. This funding will enable Orbis to expand its pipeline of treatments, initially focusing on targets already validated by leading biologic drugs, and unlock new opportunities in the global pharmaceutical market.

The Series A round was led by NEA and included participation from industry leaders such as Forbion, Eli Lilly and Company, Cormorant, and the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark—demonstrating strong confidence in Orbis Medicines’ groundbreaking approach to drug development. Novo Holdings, the founder of Orbis Medicines, also participated in the round.
